Ibon Hormaetxe Larrauri
- Degree in Physics and Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (UPV), Diploma in Environmental Administration also from the University of the Basque Country (UPV), and Diploma in Environmental Assessment from the Open International University. He has ample experience in the field of education and teacher training as well as running companies in the areas of marketing and environmental communication.
- Director and founding partner of Iniciativas Ambientales. Responsible for New Project Development, projects relating to managing enterprises as well as co-ordinating all projects relating to strategies for Sustainable Development.
- His interest in cycling as a mode of transport has resulted in the presentation of various papers at mobility conferences as well as writing numerous works on urban mobility and the bicycle, and environmental education. He is well travelled and a nature lover, both of which he shares with his family and friends.
- Degree in Biology, - speciality in Environmental Sciences - from the Science Faculty of the University Autónoma, Madrid. Diploma in Advanced Ecological Studies from the Ecological Inter-University Department of the University Autónoma, Madrid, with the study “Tourism in Natural Parks”.
- Partner in Iniciativas Ambientales, responsible for the co-ordination of projects in the Area of Communication, Environmental Education and Local Development.
- Is a member of the international organization Global Action Plan and collaborator of Sustrans (UK).
Ainhoa Galán Contreras
- Degree in Environmental Sciences from the University Autónoma, Madrid. Specific training in the following areas; education and sustainable development, information systems, environmental simulation programmes, quality control and environmental certification (ISO 9000, 14000 y 18001).
- She joined Iniciativas Ambientales in 2003, to develop educational programmes related to sustainable development as well as documentation and composition.
- Reading is one of her main hobbies, which she accomplishes in various languages, as is everything related to nature and music, and in particular the piano. She was brought up in the Biosphere Reserve of Urdaibai which helped form her interests in the environment.
Eva Benito Ibarra
- Degree in Information Sciences from the University of the Basque Country (UPV), with a speciality in graphic design and digital reprocessing. Her professional background includes running and co-ordinating cultural, sporting and environmental events for private companies and public institutions as well as undertaking various projects relating to journalism for media companies.
- She joined Iniciativas Ambientales in 1995 where she has been working in the Area of communication, responsible for all the graphic work as well as the journalistic output.
- Her concern for the social problems associated with the youth has led her to set up and run various projects in her spare time relating to education and the environmental. This interest is supported by her immediate family and children.
